This Is My Story
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here.
I'm a former classroom teacher turned full-time life and mindset coach. Truth be told, I've been teaching and coaching in one form or another since I was about seven years old—lining up my stuffed animals (and sometimes my little brother) to "teach" them important lessons.
Decades later, I found my true passion and calling in the most unexpected place: a small town in Indiana, serving as the volunteer assistant coach for the local high school girls' cross-country team.
I loved the technical side of coaching—the paces, the training plans—but what lit me up the most was helping those girls strengthen their minds. Watching them break through self-imposed limits, build unshakable confidence, and realize they were capable of more than they ever imagined planted a seed in my heart—one I didn't even realize was growing at the time.
From there, I said "yes" to every coaching opportunity that came my way—from middle school runners to adults training for their first 5Ks and half marathons. I loved every minute of it.
But I still thought coaching was only about sports.
And truthfully?
I wasn’t yet the person I needed to be to help others navigate the deeper, more complicated challenges of life.
That would come next.
Finding Coaching at Rock Bottom
Six years ago, if you had told me I'd be living today with this much joy and purpose, I wouldn't have believed you.
Back then, my life felt like it had come crashing down around me.
I was devastated. I was in deep, unbearable pain.
I wasn’t alone—but the shame I carried isolated me. I didn’t reach out for help for a long time.
I kept praying, begging God to change the circumstances so that I could have my life back.
But that’s not what happened.
If anything, the circumstances got worse.
And eventually, I found myself asking a new question:
How do I learn to be okay—and rebuild my life—even if the situation doesn’t get better?
That question changed everything.
The Turning Point
It led me to my first coach, Jane—a woman I will forever be grateful for.
Jane didn’t rescue me. She equipped me.
Through coaching, I learned how to rebuild my life from the inside out.
I discovered that I could live a full, joyful life even if the external circumstances never changed.
I didn’t have to wait for everything to get better before I could breathe again.
I didn’t have to put my happiness on hold.
For the first time, I experienced real peace—because I wasn’t waiting for life to "fix itself" anymore.
I became the builder of my own life.
I found joy and purpose right where I was.
Why I Coach Today
The dramatic change I experienced—not because my circumstances changed, but because I changed—is the reason I am so passionate about this work.
Coaching gave me the tools, the mindset, and the strength to live fully—right in the middle of imperfection, uncertainty, and pain.
And now?
I get to walk alongside others and show them that it’s possible for them, too.
You don’t have to wait for life to get better to start living.
You don’t have to wait to experience peace, joy, or purpose.
You can start right where you are.
And I’d be honored to show you how.
