The Missing Piece Between Knowing and Changing
Have you ever listened to a podcast, read a book, attended a workshop, or saved an inspiring quote and thought:
"I know this already."
But somehow your life hasn't changed?
You're not alone.
In this episode, we're exploring the gap between information and transformation. Because knowing what to do and consistently doing it are two very different things.
We'll talk about why so many smart, capable people stay stuck in the same patterns despite consuming endless personal growth content and why awareness alone is often not enough to create lasting change.
I'll also share something I've been quietly building for months: The Mindset Map Collective .
This six module guided program was created to help you move beyond simply understanding mindset concepts and begin applying them in your everyday life. You'll learn how to recognize the patterns driving your emotions, decisions, and results so you can respond with greater intention and confidence.
Whether you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, inconsistent, or simply ready for your next step in personal growth, this episode will help you understand why change can feel so difficult and what to do about it.
In This Episode You'll Learn:
• Why information alone rarely creates transformation
• The difference between knowing and practicing
• How unseen thought patterns influence your emotions and actions
• Why confidence, motivation, and courage are often created rather than found
• The role awareness plays in lasting change
• How The Mindset Map Collective helps bridge the gap between insight and implementation

Podcast Episode: The Missing Piece Between Knowing and Changing
Hello friends, and welcome back to Running to Myself.
Today is a special day.
Not because I've accomplished something huge or crossed the finish line.
And certainly Not because everything is perfectly figured out.
Today is special because something that I dreamed over a couple of years ago and have been working on for months is finally here.
The Mindset Map Collective is officially open for enrollment.
Before I tell you what it is, I want to tell you why I created it.
If you've been listening to this podcast for any length of time, you've probably heard me talk about thoughts.
You've heard me talk about beliefs.
You've heard me talk about patterns.
You've heard me talk about feelings and actions and results.
You may have even caught yourself thinking:
"Yes, I know."
"I've heard this before."
"I understand the concept."
But here's what years of teaching, coaching, and mentoring have taught me.
Knowing something and practicing something are two very different things.
Most people don't struggle because they lack information.
Most people struggle because they lack implementation.
They know what to do.
They just don't know how to consistently apply it when life gets hard.
And that's exactly why I created The Mindset Map Collective.
The Difference Between Information and Transformation
Imagine deciding you want to run a marathon.
You could buy every running book ever written.
You could listen to every running podcast.
You could watch hundreds of YouTube videos.
You could learn everything there is to know about training plans, nutrition, hydration, recovery, and pacing.
And at the end of all that learning, you still wouldn't be a marathon runner.
Because eventually you have to lace up your shoes and practice.
You have to put one foot in front of the other.
You have to learn through experience.
Mindset work is exactly the same.
You can listen to podcasts.
Read books.
Follow motivational accounts.
Save inspirational quotes.
And still find yourself stuck in the same patterns you've been trying to change for years.
Not because you're incapable. Not because you lack information.
But because transformation happens through practice.
And practice requires structure.
That’s where the Mindset Map Collective comes in.
The Mindset Map Collective is a six module guided program designed to help you understand how your mind works and how to create change from the inside out.
It's built around the exact framework I use with my private coaching clients.
The framework that helps people understand:
Why they keep getting stuck.
Why certain emotions feel so overwhelming.
Why motivation comes and goes.
Why confidence feels inconsistent.
Why they continue repeating patterns they desperately want to change.
Inside the Collective, you'll learn how to identify the hidden thoughts driving your emotions, your decisions, and ultimately your results.
You'll learn how to recognize the stories you've been carrying around for years that may be keeping you stuck.
You'll learn how to challenge beliefs that no longer serve you.
You'll learn how to create emotions intentionally rather than waiting for circumstances to create them for you.
And perhaps most importantly, you'll learn how to become an observer of your own thinking instead of a victim of it.
Who Is This For?
This program is for the person who knows something needs to change but isn't quite sure where to start.
It's for the person who feels stuck.
The person who overthinks.
The person who struggles with confidence.
The person who keeps making promises to themselves and then wonders why they can't seem to follow through.
It's for the person who feels like life looks fine from the outside but internally feels frustrated, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
It's for the person who has listened to podcast episodes like this one and thought:
"That makes sense."
But still isn't sure how to apply it consistently.
And honestly?
It's also for the person who has considered coaching but isn't ready to make that investment yet.
Why This Is Different From One on One Coaching
I love one on one coaching.
It's the work I've devoted my career to.
And I firmly believe personalized coaching can accelerate growth because I see it happening in the lives of my clients.
But I also understand that not everyone is ready for that level of investment.
Not everyone is ready to commit to ongoing sessions.
Not everyone is at the place where private coaching makes sense.
And that's okay. I was there once too.
The Mindset Map Collective gives you access to foundational coaching tools in a way that's affordable, approachable, and practical.
Think of it as learning the language of mindset work.
Learning the framework.
Learning the process.
Learning how to coach yourself.
Many people who eventually work with me one on one begin by learning these foundational skills first.
And once you understand the framework, and begin practicing it for yourself, everything else becomes easier.
The Power of Self Paced Learning
One of my favorite things about this program is that it is completely self paced.
Listen. I love structure and a predictable routine in my schedule, but Let's be honest.
Life is busy.
Schedules change.
Things come up.
You don't need another source of pressure.
You don't need another calendar commitment.
You don't need another thing making you feel behind.
Instead, you'll receive the modules each Monday morning as they release and you'll have access to them to revisit whenever you want.
That means you can watch them on your schedule.
Pause when you need to.
Repeat lessons that need more considertion.
Return to concepts months later when life presents a new challenge.
Here's something valuable that I've learned as a student.
The same lesson often teaches us something different depending on the season we're in.
I've reread books that felt completely different a year or two later.
I've revisited concepts I thought I understood only to discover an entirely new layer of understanding.
The Collective is designed with that reality in mind.
This isn't something you rush through and forget. It’s not a task to be completed.
It's a resource you can come back to over and over again.
What You'll Learn
The best way to describe The Mindset Map Collective isn't by telling you what's inside it.
It's by telling you what happens when you begin to see your mind differently.
Imagine waking up and noticing that familiar wave of anxiety, frustration, guilt, or self doubt.
Only this time, instead of being swept away by it, you understand what's happening.
You know how to slow down.
You know how to get curious.
You know how to separate what actually happened from the story your brain is telling about it.
That's where we begin.
Most of us spend years reacting to our thoughts without realizing we're doing it. We assume our thoughts are facts. We assume our feelings are commands. We assume our patterns are simply who we are.
But what if that's not true?
What if the reason you keep getting stuck isn't because you're incapable, unmotivated, or lacking discipline?
What if you're simply operating from patterns you've never learned to recognize?
Inside this program you'll learn how to spot those patterns.
You'll begin to see why certain situations trigger the same emotional reactions over and over.
Why you keep having the same arguments.
Why confidence comes and goes.
Why you know what you want to do but struggle to follow through.
Why some goals feel impossible while others seem effortless.
For many people, this alone feels life changing.
Because once you can see the pattern, you finally have the power to change it.
As we move through the program, you'll learn how your thoughts create your emotional experience.
You'll discover that many feelings you've been waiting for confidence, motivation, courage, peace are not things that magically arrive one day.
They're emotions you can learn to create intentionally.
And that changes everything.
Because when you stop waiting to feel ready, you start taking action sooner.
You start making decisions with greater confidence.
You stop handing your emotional well being over to circumstances, other people, or the opinions of those around you.
By the end of the program, you'll have more than information.
You'll have a framework.
A practical tool you can use anytime life gets hard.
A difficult conversation.
A career decision.
A relationship challenge.
A setback.
A disappointment.
A dream you want to pursue but feel afraid to begin.
Instead of wondering why you're stuck, you'll know exactly where to look.
And perhaps most importantly, you'll begin to trust yourself.
Not because life suddenly becomes easy.
But because you'll have a process for navigating whatever life brings.
That's why I created The Mindset Map Collective.
Not to give you six more modules to consume.
But to give you a skill set you'll use for the rest of your life.
Why Now?
Because waiting until you feel ready is one of the most common ways we stay stuck.
So many people think:
"I'll work on this later."
"When things settle down."
"When life isn't so busy."
"When I'm less stressed."
"When I have more time."
But growth doesn't usually happen when conditions become perfect.
Growth happens when we decide to begin where we are.
The truth is that the quality of your thinking affects every area of your life.
Your relationships.
Your confidence.
Your goals.
Your habits.
Your work.
Your leadership.
Your ability to handle challenges.
Everything.
And if you've been listening to this podcast thinking:
"I know there's more available to me."
This may be your next step.
